GOP Con, Day 2

I didn't really watch the GOP Convention last night, I listened to part of McCain's speech. The theme of the night was obviously exploitation of the 9/11 trajedy and trying to pretend that they didn't take advantage of the nation's grief to carry out the neocons long standing agenda / obsession to remove Saddam Hussein by force.

Afghanistan I thought was a justified but way too reserved counter attack. We were afraid of putting in large numbers of ground troops outside of special forces because of how it'd anger the Arabs, so we had the Arabs of the Northern Alliance do all of the fighting and dying, with our Air Force providing high-tech support, even when Bin Laden was cornered at Tora Bora. But yet we had no problem marching thousands of troops into Arab land, which has had very bad PR reprecussions with a majority of the Arab world.

Erm.. slight tangent from the main ramble. Oops. Anyway, it seems just like the Democratic Convention -- an orgy of self-aggrandizement to try and convince the naive that they are worth putting faith in. And with the GOP one I am just laughing my ass off at these text book answers and ignorance being played upon.

I couldn't help but notice that one of the themes of the GOP convention seems to be "America Can Do Better". That would have been more appropriate for the Democrats to have used in reference to Bush. But for Bush's own ass kissers to say we can do better by electing him seems like almost an admission that the first four years of his presidency have been shit. But, to be more accurate, too, shouldn't it be read like how Bush would say it: "America can do gooder"

Hi Cain, I'm over here in Hawaii on vacation and found a nice internet connection. I started searching blogs to get some ideas for my spf clothing site, and fell into this excellent blog you have here. When I came on vacation I knew I'd get to surf the net, but I didn't think I'd get treat like this. The only good blogs are ones with owners like you, actually putting energy into them. Okay, just wanted to say hi and 'you're awesome' - better get back to my spf clothing research...

good day ~~~

Cain, this has got to stop! People like you are doing a great job on their blogs yet people still manage to junk them up with spammy comments. I've given up, one of my blogs is getting destroyed with the clutter of these comments. Oh well, I guess there's still a lot to enjoy. My sun protection rashguards site is starting to be a better investment of my time. It's easy to maintain, there's a lot of information on sun protection rashguards out there so I'm not having much trouble there. I don't know what to do... You're doing such a great job and I wish my blogs were like yours!

Thanks for letting me post.

Well, is there something a little weird going on here? I don't know about you Cain, but my blog gets pretty cluttered with spammy comments from people. My advice to you as one blog owner to another, is to be patient and focus on the great things about having a blog, instead of all the junk that goes on. You do have a quality blog and appears that you enjoy it. My favorite web project so far is a grappling rash guards site, because I have total control and it makes me a couple dollars here and there. It's pretty hard to find new information on grappling rash guards stuff though. Hey, keep up your excellent job Cain, and good luck with your projects..

See ya ~

Hi, you almost lost me for one second there... but I'm glad I didn't click away. First, I enjoyed your post, and second, maybe you can help. I don't know how much blog spam you get but I get tons on my blog. Most of the time I'm talking about sports rash guards stuff because I have a sports rash guards website, and people post all this junk with their links and stuff. As blog owners, I guess we'll always be subject to the unethical and inconsiderate. Well, hopefully it's not driving you to crazy... Good luck partner, enjoy the positives friend.

Bye ~
